North Dorset Parliamentary Constituency

The North Dorset Parliamentary Constituency lies to the north-west of the Bournemouth/Poole/Wimborne conurbation. It is a large rural constituency stretching from Stalbridge in the west to Verwood in the east. The constituency also includes the towns of Blandford Forum, Shaftesbury and Sturminster Newton.

The constituency is wholly contained within the Dorset County Council area and the Dorset Police & Crime Commissioner's area.

The constituency includes all of the North Dorset District Council area. It also includes, in the east, the northern part of the East Dorset District Council area.

It is thought possible that new parliamentary constituencies will be implemented in England in the next few years which would most likely affect the boundaries of the North Dorset constituency.

The South West England and Gibraltar (SWEG) European Parliamentary Constituency includes North Dorset.
